Who is running

Thirty-eight lists qualified. The ones with a real chance of seats are below. Each links to its profile.

The smaller lists that poll near the 3.25% line are Amcha Yisrael, the Reservists and Economic Party and Blue and White. Every list's letters are in Ballot Letters and How to Make Your Vote Count.

What the polls say

Recent polls put Likud and Yashar roughly level at the top, each in the low 20s. In the poll average, Netanyahu's bloc is short of 61 on its own, and so is the opposition. That is why small parties, the threshold and surplus-vote pacts matter this year. See the poll tracker for every poll, and why Israeli polls are so hard to trust before you quote one.

How the count works in one paragraph

Parties under 3.25% win nothing. The qualifying votes are divided by 120 to set a price per seat. Each list gets as many whole seats as it can afford. The leftover seats go one at a time to the list with the highest average, which is its votes divided by its seats plus one. Pairs of parties can sign surplus-vote pacts to pool their leftovers. A government needs 61 of 120 seats. Read Election Math and How to Read the Polls and Surplus-Vote Agreements for the detail.
